Investigation Summary

At 11:00 a.m. on September 20, 2018, an employee was using a bobcat skid steer to unload bundles of lumber that would be used to build a fence. The employee was standing near the skid steer when a coworker started to lower its load and the plastic straps on one of the lumber stacks broke and some of the boards slid of the end, striking the employee and knocking him to the ground. Emergency Services responded and transported the employee to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Cause of death is unknown although the employee did have head and chest injuries.
