Investigation Summary
At 2:45 p.m. on August 24, 2018, an employee was changing a flat tire from an irrigation trailer that was lifted by a jack. The employee removed the flat tire and as positioning the replacement tire when the jack slipped on the dirt and the trailer dropped, catching his right hand and crushed his ring finger. The employee was transported to El Centro Medical Center before being transferred to UCSD Medical Center, where his finger was surgically amputated after being admitted.
