Investigation Summary
At 6:30 a.m. on August 14, 2018, Employee #1 was picking and packing grapes, but began to feel ill. She felt weak and sleepy but persisted to work, stating that she had not been feeling well for the past 3 days. She did not tell her foreman of her illness because she needed to work. Employee #1 was on her way to use the restroom at 10:35 a.m., when again she felt weak and her body had no strength. A coworker yelled for help, and the foreman arrived immediately and 911 was called. She complained of chest pain, difficulty breathing, and weakness. Her illness was determined to be benign syncopal episode and/or with dehydration.
