Employee falls from ladder and sustains multiple injuries

At 10:15 a.m. on July 16, 2018, an employee was working from a fixed ladder and was approximately 30 feet above the ground. The employee grabbed and held on to a piece of angle iron that was attached to the silo but it broke off. The employee lost his balance and fell to the ground. The employee sustained multiple injuries including a fractured pelvis, femur, and rib. The employee was hospitalized.
