Employee catches finger between two portions of a die and am

At 10:00 a.m. on May 4, 2018, an employee was closing a wax injector die prior to it being mechanically moved into the press for use. The employee hoisted the die open and was lowering it when he caught his hand between the upper and lower portions, amputating a fingertip. The employee was hospitalized.
