Investigation Summary
At 10:30 a.m. on March 8, 2018, an employee had participated in a morning class of stretching, donned his turn out pants and jacket, and climbed four flights of stairs on the Drill Tower while carrying a hose pack. The employee felt very dizzy and felt as though he was about to faint when he reached the fourth floor. The employee suffered from rhabdomyolysis, heat fatigue, dehydration and hypoglycemia. The employee was hospitalized.
