Investigation Summary
At 12:00 p.m. on May 3, 2018, Employee #1, employed by a construction company, was working at a heavy construction excavation site. He was traveling down a slope composed of loose unconsolidated rock when he slipped and fell, a fall height of approximately 2 feet, and landed on his left knee. Emergency services transported the employee to the hospital, where he was admitted and treated for a fractured tibia just below his left knee. Employee #1 remained hospitalized for approximately two weeks as the result of swelling in the knee.
