Employee catches finger in die and amputates fingertip

At 10:45 p.m. on April 17, 2018, an employee was changing a reel of metal strip on the Hella Wastegate Machine and placed his left index finger in the die to pull out the material from the reel . The employee amputated the tip of his left index finger when the dire actuated. The employee was hospitalized.
