Investigation Summary
At 10:00 a.m. on April 17, 2018, Employee #1 and a coworker, employed by an electrical services company, were engaged in power transmission line work. The coworker was operating a Bobcat T590 Compact Track Loader (a skid-steer loader) and moving an auger drill. Employee #1, who was assisting his coworker, placed an auger adapter inside the loader's cab. The coworker reacted by unintentionally driving forward. The loader struck and ran over Employee #1's left leg. Emergency services were called, and Employee #1 was transported to the hospital. He was admitted and treated for a fractured fibula.
