Employee repairing broom machine has hand injured

At 12:30 p.m. on April 3, 2018, Employee #1, employed by a construction company, was engaged in a road paving operation. He was repairing the broom machine, which was raised on a jack stand, when the broom fell off the stand and struck his hand. Emergency services were called, and Employee #1 was transported to the hospital, where he was admitted and treated for a hand sprain.
