Investigation Summary
At 9:00 a.m. on March 24, 2018, an employee unhooked the crane rigging from the steel products being loaded on the delivery flat bed trailer. The employee fell off the side of the wooden decked flatbed trailer and struck his head on the bay floor. Cabell County Emergency Services responded and transported the employee to St. Mary's Medical Center where he was hospitalized for blunt force trauma to his head and a fractured skull. The employee died two days later while still in the hospital.
