Investigation Summary
At 5:00 a.m. on February 25, 2018, Employee #1 was performing clean out operations for the cookers on the breakfast side of the plant. The employee removed a chute that was located over the running auger to Cooker #15, to pat down the remaining feed that was running into the auger opening. He came into contact with the running auger and sustained an amputation to his right middle finger.
