Investigation Summary
At 10:45 am on March 1, 2018, an employee was receiving delivery of galvanized C-joists in bundles. The bundles of C-joists were stacked on an elevated platform. The strap of the top bundle broke off causing a portion of the bundle to slide down and strike the employee in the abdominal area. The C-joists crushed the employee and caused him to go into cardiac arrest. He later died in the hospital.
