Investigation Summary
At 7:10 p.m. on November 17, 2017, an employee was forging some metals and was using an overhead crane to move three heavy rings, weighing approximately 463 lbs each. As the employee picked the rings up, they started to swing and bounce against one another. The employee's thumb was struck by the rings and the employee was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center where surgery was performed on his thumb. The employee was hospitalized.
