Investigation Summary
At approximately 7:30 a.m. on February 2, 2018, an employee was performing regular duties of solid waste collection from bins located at a business complex. The employee was pulling the solid waste bin from its storage location to line up with the forks of the waste truck. The employee was standing between the solid waste bin and the waste truck. The truck struck the employee and the trucks fork punctured the employees' right palm, resulting in multiple fractures, tendon, and ligament damage. The employee was hospitalized for three days.
