Employee's finger is struck by table saw blade and amputates

On January 30, 2018, an employee was operating a slider table saw to cut panels to size and left a small piece. The employee reached under the guard to slide the piece of wood away from the blade when the tip of his left middle finger touched the blade, cutting it off. The employee was not hospitalized.
