Investigation Summary
At 2:45 p.m. on January 30, 2018, an employee had unstrapped the quartz slab and got down from the truck bed to the ground to pick-up the wedge that he had dropped. The employee was struck by the quartz slab when a gust of wind blew it over and it fell on top of him. The employee was hospitalized with several cracked ribs, a fractured ankle, as well as neck and back pains.
