Investigation Summary
At 9:45 a.m. on January 24, 2018, a groundskeeper, was using a forklift to empty trash containers filled with scrap lumber. As the forklift carried the trash container, the groundskeeper drove over an uneven surface. The forklift tipped over, ejecting the groundskeeper from the cab of the forklift. The frame of the rollover bar contacted the mid-section of the groundskeeper and pinned him beneath. The employee was taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas where he was treated for his injuries and later died.
