Employee's finger is amputated in rotating auger

At 4:00 p.m. on December 11, 2017, an employee was working for a manufacturer of metal valves and pipe fittings. He was trying to unclog a rotating auger. He put his hand up into an opening to unclog the auger. He sustained the amputation of the fingertip of the index finger on his left hand. He was not hospitalized.
