Investigation Summary
At 7:42 p.m. on January 4, 2018, an employee was welding on a flange when his shirt caught fire. Several coworkers came to his aid and were able to put out the fire; however, the employee sustained burns to his face, right hand, arm, and right leg. Emergency services were contacted and, upon arrival, the employee was taken to UTMB Galveston where he was admitted for treatment.
