Investigation Summary
At 8:00 a.m. on December 12, 2017, an employee was working at a big-box store that sold building materials, hardware, plumbing fixtures, home improvement items, and so forth. She was assisting a customer who needed a window blind cut. The window blind cutting machine was contained in a metal drawer. The employee was closing the drawer holding the cutting machine, when the tip of her small finger became caught in the drawer. Her fingertip was amputated. She was not hospitalized.
