Investigation Summary
At 9:55 p.m. on November 10, 2017, Employee #1 responded to an alarm. The two neighboring towns had a mutual aid agreement and the first responders from both towns were responding. Employee #1 was driving their personal vehicle to the scene of the incident when they struck Employee #2, a first responder from a neighboring town, who was parked next to the road and was reaching into their own personal vehicle to retrieve some gear. Employee #2 was later pronounced dead.
