At 11:45 p.m. on October 26, 2017, an employee was setting up the wire feed roller, jogged the machine, and reached the hazardous pinch area prior to the feed line stopping. The employee's hand was pulled into the pinch point and amputated several fingertips. Hospitalization was not required.
