Event: 08/16/2002
One Employee Is Killed and One Injured in Conveyor Bed

On August 16, 2002, Employees #1 and #2 were working with a revolving shot blast conveyor bed. Employee #1 was inside the framework of the conveyor bed and out of sight of the operator when the bed was rotated to a new position. He became caught between the frame of the revolving conveyor bed and a parts shaker, and was killed. Employee #2 sustained injuries, for which he was hospitalized.
