Investigation Summary

Investigation Nr: 170826135
Event: 03/04/1996
Two employees injured in fall when work platform tips over

Employees #1 and #2 were at a height of approximately 10 ft, installing Tyvek on the front wall of a townhouse. They were working from an elevated platform that was sitting on the forks of a Lull Highlander, but not attached to it. Originally, the two employees were on opposite sides of the platform. As the job progressed, one worker moved over to help the other, at which time the platform tipped over. Employees #1 and #2 were thrown to the ground and the platform fell on top of them. Both suffered sprains, strains, and bruises, but neither was hospitalized.
