Employee partially amputates finger while operating hamper d

At 6:40 a.m. on October 19, 2017, an employee was working on the operator side of a Hercules Industries hamper dumper (model number: A207745 1105). As the employee used the machine's control lever to lift and empty a hamper filled with soiled linen, his left index finger was crushed and partially amputated by the hamper bar. The employee was hospitalized for his injury.
