Employee killed when crushed by falling aircraft

An old Air Force C-123 airplane was being modified for a motion picture. In preparation for it performing a stunt, the aircraft was placed on a bus frame and engine. The main landing gears were also modified, with the main gears partially raised to put more weight on the bus frame. Employee #1 was asked to measure the distance from the ground to the bus frame, to see if it would show. He was making measurements under the aircraft when a gear trunnion broke. The aircraft slumped down onto Employee #1, who was crushed and killed.
