At approximately 2:30 p.m., Employee #1 was helping build a chimney for a mountain cabin. He was on the 6:12 pitch roof peak receiving the block and mortar. The south side of the roof was dry, but the north side was covered with slushy snow. A coworker said that for some reason, Employee #1 stepped onto the slushy side of the roof. His feet slipped out from under him, and he slid off the roof and fell 20 feet to the ground. He was killed. The weather was overcast and about 55 degrees Fahrenheit. No one witnessed the fatality.
