Investigation Summary
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on October 30, 1995, Employee #1 was operating finger jointer #5. A piece of wood fell from the "cut to length" part of the finger jointer, and when he reached into the saw box to retrieve it his thumb was amputated by the unguarded trim saw.
