Employee's back sprained when elevator stops suddenly

Employee #1 was using an elevator when one of the astragals pulled loose, causing the cab door's drive chain to clip an electrical interlock. The elevator's safety stop mechanism was activated and the elevator stopped abruptly. Employee #1 sustained a sprained back.
