Employee Fractures Wrist While Exiting Step-Van

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on January 5, 2002, Employee #1 was exiting the rear of a parked step-van and its floor was about 2 feet above the pavement. The employee put his left foot on the sole step and slipped, falling to the pavement. Employee #1 sustained a complex fracture of his left wrist.
