Investigation Summary
On June 24, 1998, Employee #1 was painting round planters that were about 18 in. in diameter and 18 in. high. The planters had been moved from next to the building to the outside area of the 8-ft wide walkway. Employee #1 was winding up an electrical cord, and walking backwards when he ran into the planter. Employee #1 fell over the planter and injured his right knee. Employee #1 was hospitalized and requires surgery.
