Investigation Summary
On February 7, 2008, Employee #1 was positioning a 20 ft truss section with the help of two coworkers situated on the other side of it. The coworkers were pushing the truss and Employee #1 was holding it. In the process of positioning, the truss section struck Employee #1's leg and he fell 5 ft backward, landing on the next lower level. The truss then fell on top of him. Employee #1 suffered a scalp laceration that required seven stitches to close, and the falling truss fractured two ribs and his clavicle. Employee #1 was hospitalized for three days.
