Employee's Face Is Burned from Spray Can Explosion

At 2:43 p.m. on July 1, 2008, Employee #1 returned from break to work at press #2. After a few minutes, Employee #1 picked up the heavy starch spray can from atop the press machine and the can exploded into his face. There were no witnesses to the accident. Employee #1 was taken to UCLA Westwood Medical Center and hospitalized for one day. As a result of the accident, he suffered facial injuries and serious injury to his right eye. At 4:15 p.m. on July 1, 2008, the incident was reported to the Division by the fire department and at 4:30 p.m. on July 14, 2008, reported by the owner of Prestige Custom Cleaners, Inc.
