At approximately 4:00 a.m. on September 28, 1999, Employee #1 was struck by a falling pallet loaded with boxes filled with canned fruit. Employee #1 suffered lacerations and contusions, and was hospitalized. Employee #1 also had his spleen removed in the hospital.
