Investigation Summary
At approximately 2:15 p.m. on September 5, 2007, an employee, a helper, was cutting 2-foot pieces off a 2-in. by 4-in. by 8-ft piece of lumber using a Skil circular saw. He placed the lumber on blocks of concrete holding it with left hand. The saw kicked back and hit his left index finger causing amputation over an inch off his finger. He was taken to Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital, where he was hospitalized, treated for amputation of finger and released on September 8.
