Investigation Summary
At about 1:00 p.m. on April 22, 2004, Employee #1, a gardener or landscaper with an employer that provided landscaping and gardening services, was working at a mall performing routine work, using a leaf blower, when his safety glasses dropped. As he bent to pick up his safety glasses, a branch poked his left eye, puncturing it and lacerating his cornea. Employee #1's injury required surgery, and he was hospitalized for two days.
