Employee fractured leg and wrist due to fall

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on June 21, 1999, an employee was salvaging pipe conduit out of an abandoned building 10.5 ft from the ground. Because of the building's deteriorated condition, no guard rails were in place at the exposed edge. Red tape was used instead. The employee fell to the ground and fractured his left leg and left wrist. He was not wearing fall protection equipment. He taken and admitted to the hospital.
