Investigation Summary
On January 4, 1999, two sanitary employees were collecting garbage at a residential site. After the garbage was collected, both employees attempted to put the dumpster back by the curb by sliding off the forks of the dump truck. While attempting this, Employee #1's left pinky finger was caught and amputated between the dumpster and the fork. He was taken and admitted to Verdugo Hills Hospital.
