EMPLOYEE AMPUTATES FINGER IN TABLE SAW

Employee #1, was making a dado cut on the table saw to wood stock approximately 1 ft by 3 ft. He placed his left hand along the top of the stock to hold it in place and used his right hand to push the material through the dado blade, without a push stick. The stock popped-up, exposing the blade and the left hand entered the dado blade, amputating the end of the ring finger and varying degrees of injury to the other fingers. He was hospitalized.
