Employee injured when arm caught in chain and sprocket

At 1:00 p.m. on March 19, 2001, an accident occurred at the Zetlian Bakery Inc. in Pico Rivera, California. Employee #1 was cleaning the Rheon Automatic Guillotine Cutter with an air hose, when his right arm was caught in the running, unguarded chain and sprocket of the machine. Examination of the doctor's report indicated that Employee #1's injury consisted of the laceration and crushing of his right arm and hand. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
