Investigation Summary
At 3:15 p.m. on May 19, 2004, Employee #1, a framer foreman, used a 6 foot stepladder to gain access to a new home to install a 1 in. by 6 in. fascia board. Employee #1 stood on the step below the top cap of the ladder. He lost his balance and fell 5 feet to the ground. He was taken by private vehicle to a private physician, and then to the Kern Medical Center Emergency Room where he was treated for a fractured pelvis and released.
