Employee injured when struck by front end loader

On June 9, 1998, a Newhall County Water District water well employee was working at Well Number 1 on San Fernando Road in Santa Clarita, CA. He was cutting a piece of conduit that was sticking out of an embankment that was being prepared for a well. The supervisor was grading the site with a J.C. Bamford front end loader. The supervisor was backing the front end loader when he ran over the employee, breaking his right leg. The employee was taken to Henry Mayo Hospital for emergency treatment.
