Employee injured in fall from roof

Employee #1 was working alone in a 4 ft by 7 ft area of a roof above the front entryway. He had stripped or torn off the old roofing and reached down to pick up the bundle of material to discard it. As he straightened up, he stepped back, lost his balance, and fell 7 ft onto the pavement. Employee #1 sustained fractures to his skull and left shoulder. No violations of Title 8 were found.
