Employee Suffers Amputation

At approximately 6:40 a.m. on May 30, 2001, Employee #1 sustained a traumatic amputation of the second finger from the thumb on the right hand as a result of an accident involving a 10-ton BALDWIN DEFIANCE Tablet Press. The accident occurred in the chemical production room in the employer's facility. Employee #1 was hospitalized for eight days.
