Employee Is Injured in Fall from Second Story

On August 3, 2005, an employee was working alone on the top plate of the second story installing rafters without fall protection. He was holding the rafter while at the edge of the top plate at the front of the house when he lost his balance. He pushed the rafter away from himself and fell 20 feet to the ground. The employee was hospitalized, where he underwent surgery to repair and set a broken fibula and tibia.
