Employee's forearms lacerated when struck by steel coil

At approximately 3:45 p.m. on June 20, 2002, Employee #1 was banding a coil of steel when it broke. The coil expanded outward. When Employee #1 attempted to grab the coil to keep it from expanding further, it lacerated his under forearms. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
