Employee injured when run over by turf slicer

Employee #1, a golf course greens keeper, was operating an agricultural tractor that was towing a turf slicer on one of the course fairways. He was standing next to the seat when a golf ball flew under the tractor's back guard and struck him in the face. Employee #1 became distracted and fell from the moving tractor to the ground. He was run over by the turf slicer and suffered lacerations to his lower extremities, including the tendons in both ankles, and to his sciatic nerve, his liver and his gall bladder.
