Employee's fingers injured when hand caught in roller

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on December 6, 1996, Employee #1, age 19, was sanding a rotating roller when he dropped a rag he was holding. He was trying to retrieve the rag from between the pickup and the rollers when his right hand became caught and was pulled into the machine. He sustained injuries to his fingers that required hospitalization.
