Employee Is Struck by Falling Wall

At 11:00 p.m. on December 4, 2003, Employee #1, a carpenter a general contractor engaged in construction and fixture installation industry and a coworker were working at a construction site. Employee #1 was working in kitchen display area that was approximately 30 ft by 50 ft when a display wall that was 8 ft by 10 ft, weighing approximately 500 lbs, fell over on him. Employee #1 sustained multiple serious contusion and crushing injuries to both legs. Employee #1 was hospitalized and treated for his injuries. Employee #1 was not a regular employee of the company.
